The RVM Foundation Transit Home and the RVM Foundation Humanitarian Hospital, a unit of FOSA, were established in 1998 with the singular aim of Making a Difference in the world by Reducing Pain and Suffering.
Located on Bannerghatta Road, Bengaluru, the charitable RVM Foundation Hospital offers free medical services, facilities and treatment to the poor and destitute. The Hospital runs its own fleet of ambulances, has its own administrative and medical staff of doctors and nurses, and operates a unique 24/7 helpline number dedicated to the service of the underprivileged. The hospital collaborates with other hospitals in case a patient needs specialised or advanced treatment, raises funds for such treatments and consults specialists when required.
Thousands of needy people have been treated at the Hospital and through health camps conducted by the hospital at orphanages and shelters, slums and other remote places across across the city and the country.
The RVM Foundation Transit Home, located at Chikkagubbi Village is a home for the homeless and the abandoned. Some of the residents are life long residents and will continue to be at the Home as long as they live. It also rehabilitates patients treated at the RVM Foundation Humanitarian Hospital and other hospitals, providing medical care and emotional support till they recover.
